Updates of my weekly challenge (April 2014)

I started my weekly challenge (#guitarlonewchallenge ) since February #2014, one of the reason is to keep actively doing my fingerstyle, because I was too busy earlier with others commitment.  And I felt no #improvement by not doing it. It is the thing I always wanted to work on for my improvement as musician. I am #happy I have started it, overall I am happy with the result for beginning stage.

Sometime my thought was doing an easy tune to hit* my target as weekly challenge. "One song in a week". Which is good, because it keeps me actively playing. But then, this week 6, I chose "mad world", is actually an easy tune, and I able to play the whole tune. But then there is so much more to improve, not just able to play the tune, pick the melodies up...and that's all.... This is not what I wanted..well yes, if only my goal is  for actively playing. But I want more than that, specially doing "Improvisation, Dynamic, the way I wanted to tell the story of the song, and how to able to reach a listener's heart..and so on.. , or even how to let others to feel what I feel, how can I use an instrument to tell the story, in fact, musical instruments are tools for musicians. Same as a#vocalist use their voices as tool.

Thanks to @hazelleevaughn , we had a long chat, she reminded me that as musician the story that I want to share/tell in a tune is very important to listeners. NOT Just able to play the tune note by note. So much involves with other Elements in music. Now, I am still in #learning stage, and I promise myself that I will have this breakthrough.

Ps: Forgive me that I not able to post weekly sometimes because I am working and moving out from my comfort zone as musician to improve what I want to. ( I am on my way)
