Guitar Tutorial: Thought Contagion – Muse

Guitar Tutorial: Thought Contagion – Muse

First, I like this song specially the "Vampire Theme" of this video (check out the video of this song) .

Muse is one of my favorite band, first time I discovered them by the song Crying Shame was actually introduced by one of my student many years ago, Zufar his name. ( correct me if I am wrong, Zufar? *smile* )

Alright, guys! Cut the chase and let's play this latest tune!!!

------------------------------------------------

Note: You can choose to play with patterns or chords below

Playing tip:

  • Before following the sequence below, first please DOWNLOAD and refer to tutorial tab pdf. (I did my improvising on guitar solo part with four version to choose ( with and without whammy effect including fingering to play)
  • Solo A1, easy version for those can't access above fret 12th
  • A2 for those who can access above fret 12th
  • A3 for those want to have whammy effect (sounds like) but without whammy pedal
  • A4 for those who has whammy pedal, or expression pedal connect with multi effects (like mine with Nova System) / single effect pedal (like Pitchfork) and many others more that works.
  • While doing solo, guitar 2 can choose to play Pattern A and/or Riff A for backing up the rhythm part.
  • During Chorus you can choose to play Riff A while 2nd guitar playing Pattern A ( for 2 players)
